You are about to acquire approximately 30 minutes of langauge lessons as you learn the basics of the (German, French) Language. There are over 160 words and phrases which are essential to travelers who will spend a short vacation or business visit to the country where this language is spoken. You will start out with the basics such as "yes" and "no," but will progress in a very short time to ordering at a restaurant and getting directions to the local sites.

You will learn what we call "the street language" of the country. This means the basic language the local citizens would be speaking if they were sitting at a cafe having drinks or lunch. In some cases the words you will learn via these lessons will not be the "proper" words you would learn if you took a full langauge class. Instead we want to give you the language spoken by people on the street.

There are differences in regions when it comes to dialects and even in the male and female versions. We are not very concerned about those issues due to the fact this lesson is for someone who will only be in the country for a short time and just needs enough language to communicate and get by. Enjoy.
